The Human

Image of an illustrated titmouse bird sitting on a branch with peach-colored leaves.
Wife and mother.
Native West Virginian and long-time north Carolinian.

A true mountain girl at heart with just the right kind of Southern Charm.

Care and consideration for all living things and their needs. Constantly asking, "Am I causing harm, and how can I do better?"

The Artist

My work and my life are inspired by nature and the world around me. Both can be grounded and subtle and equally playful and vibrant at the same time.

As an eco-conscience artist, I create beautiful watercolors from found sources such as rocks, soil, botanicals, food waste, and more. These elements are processed into pigments or dyes that are then further transformed into handmade watercolors that are used in my design work.

The Teacher

Let's clear something up.

Living life is creative living. Period. This means we are all creative artists day in and day out.

Hear me out.
The simplest of our daily tasks from choosing our clothes to how we make our morning coffee or tea both require creative design choices and decision-making.

So, hello, my fellow creative artist! YES! You ARE an artist! Embrace it, and know I'm here to help.

Nothing fills me more than sharing my tips and tricks of all the DIY-type things in our lives with an emphasis on saving money and being kinder to the planet. Do you realize that the more things we make ourselves, the more we help lessen our individual contribution to climate change? Yep, it's true, and saving yourself some money in the process is an added bonus!
